Septic tanker crashes into temple on Uppal-Secunderabad road

Hyderabad: A major accident was narrowly averted on the Uppal–Secunderabad road on Tuesday when a speeding septic tanker veered off the road and rammed into a Hanuman temple located on the road median.

The incident took place in broad daylight, startling commuters and devotees in the vicinity. Fortunately, no casualties were reported as both temple visitors and passing motorists escaped unhurt.

Police reached the spot shortly after receiving an alert and initiated relief operations. The tanker driver, identified as Kumar Naik, sustained serious injuries and was rushed to Gandhi Hospital for treatment.

Initial investigations confirmed that the accident occurred due to overspeeding. Authorities said such incidents are becoming frequent along this stretch of the road. Police have released CCTV footage of the mishap as part of their ongoing investigation.

Locals have called for stricter traffic enforcement and safety measures in the area to prevent future accidents.
