Hyderabad: MLA Arekapudi Gandhi launched ₹6.5 crore development works in Serilingampally constituency. The foundation ceremony took place at Vivekananda Nagar under Alwyn Colony division.
PAC Chairman Gandhi participated along with corporators Dodla Venkatesh Goud and Roja Devi. Several local leaders and residents also attended the program in large numbers.

Speaking at the event, Gandhi said the project covers road widening from Usha Mullapudi Kaman to Alwyn Colony. The plan also includes tree removal, shifting of power poles, road marking, and a multipurpose function hall.
He stated that work already began on a 100-feet road from Usha Mullapudi Kaman to Sikkul Basti. Moreover, the government will ensure justice for families losing houses during widening.
Gandhi explained that the measures address rising traffic needs. In addition, he announced nala expansion at Dharani Nagar to stop flooding and confirmed retaining wall works. Meanwhile, beautification of lakes will continue.
The MLA assured that these steps will make the divisions flood-free. He promised early completion of all works so residents benefit soon.
