HYDERABAD: A tragic accident occurred in Basheerabad mandal on Wednesday evening when a seven-year-old boy was fatally struck by an RTC bus. The incident took place in Taki Tanda village.
According to local sources, the victim, identified as Sriram (7), was a second-grade student at Taki Tanda Primary School. His parents had gone to work in the fields when the accident occurred. While playing near the school, he attempted to cross the road and was hit by an RTC bus travelling from Tandur to Yadgir.
The impact was severe, and the boy fell under the bus’s front wheel, sustaining critical head injuries. He died on the spot.
The victim’s family alleged that the driver’s negligence led to the tragedy and demanded justice. Following a complaint from the boy’s father, Rathod Venkatesh, the police have registered a case against the driver and launched an investigation.
Authorities are urging motorists to exercise caution near school zones to prevent such unfortunate incidents.
