Shabbir Ali bids farewell to Nizamabad Haj pilgrims, calls for focus and discipline

Hyderabad: In an emotional send-off at the Haj House in Nampally, Telangana Government Advisor Mohammed Ali Shabbir on Sunday urged 390 Haj pilgrims from Nizamabad district to approach their sacred journey with full devotion and discipline. The pilgrims departed as part of the 12th convoy for Haj 2025.

Joined by Telangana State Haj Committee Chairman Khusro Pasha Biyabani and other officials, Shabbir Ali reminded the departing group of the immense spiritual value of their pilgrimage. He called the first glimpse of the Holy Kaaba “a divine moment” and advised the pilgrims to make that instant count with sincere prayers.

“You are among the fortunate few. Make every second count. Spend your time in Haram Shareef in prayer. Avoid idle talk, distractions, or wasting time,” he said.

Emphasising spiritual commitment, Shabbir Ali advised them to keep their phones away except for emergencies and focus on dhikr (remembrance of Allah). “Haj is not a leisure trip. It’s a rare chance to cleanse the soul. Engage your mind and heart in prayer,” he told the crowd.

On the physical demands of Haj, the Congress veteran asked pilgrims to monitor their health, eat modestly, and conserve energy for rituals. “It’s a test of both faith and endurance. Look after your body it’s your tool for worship,” he said.

He also urged pilgrims to accept any hardships on the journey with patience. “Challenges will come. Treat them as trials from Allah. Many people return from Makkah transformed. Go with sincerity, and miracles can happen,” he said.

Concluding with a dua, Shabbir Ali prayed for the pilgrims’ safe journey and accepted Haj. “May your efforts and duas be rewarded. Pray for India, and especially for Telangana,” he said.
