Hyderabad, January 24: Advisor to Telangana Government (SC, ST, OBC & Minorities) Mohammed Ali Shabbir hailed the leadership of Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy and his team for securing a historic investment inflow of Rs 1.79 lakh crore during the World Economic Forum (WEF) at Davos. He described this achievement as a testament to the Congress government’s commitment to action, contrasting it with the hollow claims of progress made during the previous BRS regime.
Shabbir Ali, in a media statement on Friday, lauded the Congress government’s focus on delivering tangible results. “The Congress Government believes in real development, not mere slogans. This unprecedented investment inflow is the result of visionary leadership and effective planning,” he stated.
The record-breaking investments, nearly four times higher than last year’s Rs 40,232 crore, underline Telangana’s growing appeal as a global investment destination. Under the stewardship of CM Revanth Reddy and Industries Minister Sridhar Babu, the Telangana delegation, branded as the “Telangana Rising” team, showcased the state’s potential through high-profile engagements with global industry leaders.
Shabbir Ali highlighted the Congress government’s emphasis on futuristic initiatives like the Young India Skill University, the Regional Ring Road, and the Metro expansion, positioning Hyderabad as a “Future City” and a hub for innovation. He also praised the Telangana Rising 2050 Vision as a transformative plan that has placed the state on the global map.
He cited the government’s investor-friendly policies, including the Clean and Green Policy and streamlined industrial reforms, as key factors driving this success. He added that signing MoUs with 16 prominent companies from India and abroad in sectors like IT, Artificial Intelligence, and renewable energy further reflects Telangana’s forward-thinking approach.
Shabbir Ali also commended the creation of 47,550 new jobs, calling it a significant step towards empowering youth and reducing unemployment. “This Congress government is delivering what the people of Telangana deserve – a brighter, prosperous future,” he remarked.
Contrasting the Congress government’s achievements with the previous BRS regime, Shabbir Ali accused the former administration of relying on flashy announcements without any substantial outcomes. “This government delivers results, not empty promises,” he affirmed.
Shabbir Ali expressed confidence that Telangana, under the Congress government, would continue to lead India’s economic growth. He congratulated CM Revanth Reddy and the Telangana Rising team for their commitment to sustainable development and making Telangana a global hub for innovation and investment. (eom)
