Hyderabad: Burglars looted 47 tolas of gold, ₹11,000 in cash, and six expensive watches from a locked house in Shastripuram Kings Colony under Mylar Devpally police station limits late Wednesday night.
According to Detective Inspector Maqsood Ali, the house belonged to Nooruddin, who has been living in Saudi Arabia with his family. He locked the house on August 21 before leaving. A watchman, Pawan Chatri, had been staying on the terrace of the house.
Shastripuram Kings Colony burglary details
On Wednesday night, the watchman noticed disturbance inside the house and found locks at the rear broken. He alerted Nooruddin’s relative Aslam, who rushed to the spot and discovered valuables scattered. Aslam immediately informed the police.
Police teams, along with the clues team, inspected the house and collected evidence. Investigators found that the CCTV cameras at the house had not been working for the past six months. Based on Aslam’s complaint, police registered a case and launched a probe.
