Hyderabad: A shepherd died after suffering an electric shock in Bheemavaram village of Alampur mandal in Jogulamba Gadwal district on Wednesday.
Police said Eshwar, 33, a native of Takkasila village in Undavelli mandal, had joined as a shepherd at a farmer named Maddileti in Utkur village just three days ago.
While grazing sheep near the fields of Bheemavaram, he came in contact with a live electric wire and died on the spot, locals told police.
Eshwar is survived by his wife and three children. Police reached the location and shifted the body to Alampur hospital for postmortem. A case has been registered and investigation is underway.
