Hyderabad: The death toll from the industrial explosion at the Sigachi plant in Pashamylaram, Patancheru mandal, rose to 44 after two more injured workers – Akhileshwar and Arif – died during treatment on Tuesday.
Both were being treated at private hospitals for critical injuries sustained in the Sigachi blast. Fourteen others remain hospitalised. Rescue efforts have now entered the tenth day, with debris clearance in its final phase.
Despite extensive operations, the whereabouts of eight missing workers remain unknown, officials confirmed.
