Hyderabad: Singer Rahul Sipligunj met Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy at his Jubilee Hills residence on Thursday to thank him for a ₹1 crore cash reward announced by the Telangana government.
The Chief Minister honoured the playback singer by draping a shawl over him. MP Anil Kumar Yadav, MLA Kunduru Jaiveer Reddy, and Khairatabad DCC president Rohin Reddy were also present.
Singer Rahul Sipligunj meets CM Revanth
Rahul’s journey began in Hyderabad’s old city and reached global acclaim with “Natu Natu” from the film RRR, which won an Oscar. CM Revanth Reddy praised him as a role model for Telangana’s youth, saying his success reflected dedication and hard work.
In 2023, Revanth Reddy, then TPCC president, had promised a ₹1 crore reward for Rahul if the Congress came to power. The Congress government fulfilled that pledge during the Bonalu festival in the old city on July 20.
Renowned poet Andesri also met the Chief Minister at his residence the same day.
