Hyderabad: The Special Investigation Team probing the phone tapping case in Telangana has issued summons to Union Minister Bandi Sanjay, directing him to appear for questioning on July 24 at Lake View Guest House.
The SIT has been recording statements from political leaders who earlier filed complaints alleging their phones were illegally tapped. Notices have been sent to dozens of such complainants, and their depositions are being documented as part of the ongoing investigation.
Bandi Sanjay’s notice marks a significant step in the widening probe. It is unclear whether the minister will appear on the scheduled date or seek a postponement.
