Hyderabad: A major traffic disruption occurred near Himayatsagar on Hyderabad’s Outer Ring Road on Sunday when six cars collided in a chain reaction. The incident took place on the Shamsabad–Gachibowli stretch after a leading vehicle suddenly applied brakes.
The abrupt stop caused a series of rear-end collisions involving five vehicles that were closely following. The crash led to a massive traffic jam that extended for nearly two kilometres.

Police from the Rajendranagar station and highway patrol teams responded quickly to the scene. They cleared the damaged vehicles and restored traffic flow within a short time.
Fortunately, no injuries were reported. All passengers escaped unhurt, thanks to the timely deployment of airbags in the vehicles involved.
