Six held for gambling at hotel in Shamshabad

Hyderabad: Shamshabad police arrested six men on Sunday for gambling at a private hotel in Thondpally within station limits.

According to CI Narender Reddy, a raid was conducted at the 5-Star Grand Hotel after receiving a tip-off about ongoing betting activities. Officers found the accused playing three-card poker for stakes. All six were detained at the spot.

Police seized ₹3,210 in cash, six mobile phones, and digital records related to online transactions during the raid. The arrested include Anjaiah of Thondpally, Pradeep, Jaipal, and M. Raju from Utupally, Kondaraju from Kishanguda, Nikhil Kumar from Balapur, and Tirupathi Rao from Madhapur in Hyderabad city.

All were produced before a magistrate and sent to judicial remand.
