Hyderabad: Four labourers were injured on Saturday after a slab collapsed at a construction site inside Anurag University, owned by BRS MLA Palla Rajeshwar Reddy, near Venkatapur under Pocharam police station limits.

Two of the injured are reported to be in critical condition and are currently undergoing treatment in the emergency ward of a local hospital. All four were shifted for medical care shortly after the incident.

The collapse occurred at a new building site inside where construction activity has previously drawn complaints. Media personnel were not permitted entry to the campus following the mishap.

Police have registered a case and launched an investigation. Family members of the injured were informed and have reached the hospital. Further details on the incident are awaited.
