HYDERABAD: The SLBC Tunnel Accident, which has drawn national attention, saw Chief Minister Revanth Reddy visiting the site on Sunday.
Accompanied by Ministers Uttam Kumar Reddy and Jupalli Krishna Rao, the Chief Minister entered the tunnel to assess the situation firsthand.
Officials provided a detailed briefing on the ongoing rescue efforts aimed at recovering the bodies of eight workers who lost their lives in the accident. The ministers explained the circumstances of the incident and the progress of the SLBC rescue operation.
The tragic event occurred on February 22, when a section of the tunnel collapsed during construction. Six tunnel workers and two engineers were trapped under the debris. Following the collapse, teams from the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF), Army, Navy, and Singareni Rescue Units conducted extensive search operations.
During the 10 days of rigorous rescue efforts, advanced radar technology was used to trace the trapped workers.
