Hyderabad: Telangana’s Special Operations Team (SOT) conducted surprise inspections at multiple pubs in Gachibowli and Madhapur late Friday night, targeting violations related to drug use and operations.
The raids began after midnight. Club Rogue and Frat House, both located inside SLS Terminal Mall in Gachibowli, were among the venues inspected. Officials said both pubs were found violating operational rules.
During the checks, several individuals were tested for drug consumption. Four people, including a DJ named Shiva, tested positive for marijuana. All four were detained on the spot.
They were later handed over to the Madhapur Police Station. Cases were registered under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act. Further inquiry is underway.
Police said the operation was part of an ongoing crackdown on narcotics under the state’s drug-free initiative. Surprise checks at nightlife venues are being intensified as part of this effort.
