Hyderabad: The South-East Zone Task Force arrested six property offenders and one juvenile involved in multiple two-wheeler and mobile thefts across Hyderabad, Rachakonda, and Cyberabad. Police recovered stolen property worth about ₹7 lakh and linked the group to six cases.
During the operation on 12 October 2025, officers seized a stolen TVS NTORQ two-wheeler, ten mobile phones of different brands, and a passenger auto used in the crimes. They also executed one pending conviction warrant and four long-standing non-bailable warrants (NBWs).

Investigators found that most of the offenders were repeat property crime suspects who formed small gangs to divert victims’ attention before stealing. Four of them — Mohammed Sajid, Shaik Abdul Waseem, Aslam Bin Barawas, and Mohd Shahzad — operated mainly in Rachakonda and Cyberabad limits using autos to snatch phones.
Meanwhile, Mohd Muqeed, Sohail Mohiuddin, and one juvenile focused on two-wheeler thefts under the Chikkadpally and Saroor Nagar police stations. Further checks revealed that Muqeed faced a conviction warrant in a robbery case, and several NBWs remained active against the group.
Acting on credible intelligence, the Task Force team traced and apprehended the offenders. Inspector S. Saidababu led the operation, assisted by SIs K. Rama Rao and M. Madhu, along with constables B. Shiva Lingam and T. Prashanth.
After completing formalities, the police handed the accused over to the respective stations for judicial remand.
