Hyderabad: GHMC Mayor Gadwal Vijayalakshmi on Thursday said that the civic body was giving special focus to improving civic amenities in Greater Hyderabad by addressing key infrastructure gaps.
She laid the foundation stone for several development works worth ₹2 crore in NBT Nagar, MLA Colony, NB Nagar, and Maheshwar Complex, located in the Banjara Hills division.
Among the projects, water line works in MLA Colony will cost ₹13 lakh, and sewerage line reconstruction there will require ₹10 lakh. GHMC will also build a yoga center shed in its park in MLA Colony at a cost of ₹25 lakh.
In NB Nagar on Road No. 12, ₹29 lakh will be spent on water line development. Similarly, new water lines at Maheshwari Towers on Road Nos. 1 and 12 will cost ₹42 lakh.
The Mayor said these works aim to eliminate long-standing problems in drinking water supply and drainage. She added that the proposed Yoga Park will promote better health among residents.
Officials from GHMC and the Hyderabad Metropolitan Water Supply and Sewerage Board were present at the event.
