HYDERABAD: The Sri Ramanavami Shobha Yatra in Hyderabad concluded peacefully on Sunday, with meticulous planning and extensive security arrangements led by Hyderabad City Police Commissioner and Director General CV Anand, IPS. The Commissioner issued regular instructions to the field personnel, ensuring coordinated efforts alongside officers from various government departments.

From early morning, CV Anand personally visited the entire route of the religious procession and worked closely with the Sri Ramanavami Utsav Committee to ensure an early and smooth start to the yatra.

The main procession passed through several key locations, including Mangalhat, Begum Bazaar Chhatri, Siddiambar Bazaar, Gowliguda Kaman, Gurudwara, Putli Bowli Chowrasta, and finally reached the Hanuman Gymnasium in Sultan Bazaar via Kothi Andhra Bank.

A Joint Command and Control Centre operated from the ICCC Building on Road No. 12 in Hyderabad. Officials from the Telangana State Road Transport Corporation (TSRTC), Roads and Buildings (R&B) Department, Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC), Emergency Management and Research Institute (EMRI), Fire Department, Electricity Department, and Traffic Police monitored the procession in real-time and provided necessary instructions to their respective teams.

Commissioner CV Anand supervised the situation live using drone surveillance and CCTV camera feeds. He communicated directly with field officers through radio networks and WhatsApp groups to ensure swift response and efficient coordination on the ground.

Senior officers, including Vikram Singh Mann, Additional Commissioner of Police (Law and Order), and Joel Davis, Joint Commissioner of Police (Traffic), were also present on the field to oversee the arrangements. Approximately 20,000 police personnel were deployed across the city to manage the Sri Ramanavami Shobha Yatra and maintain law and order.

The successful and peaceful conduct of the procession marked a significant demonstration of inter-departmental coordination and public cooperation during one of the city’s major religious events.
