Hyderabad: Telangana IT and Industries Minister Duddilla Sridhar Babu on Monday said the State government draws inspiration from Maharaja Agrasen’s values in its push to make Telangana a top-performing State.
Addressing the 5149th Agrasen Jayanti celebrations hosted by the Telangana Agrawal Samaj in Shamshabad, the Minister stated, “True wealth lies in service.” He reiterated the government’s focus on creating equal opportunities for farmers, workers, women, and youth.
Calling Agrasen a visionary reformer, Sridhar Babu praised his “One Brick, One Coin” concept. He described it as the world’s earliest model of startup incubation that encouraged inclusive economic development.
He added that Agrasen’s ideals placed social wellbeing above personal gain. “Wealth means little unless it benefits society as a whole,” the Minister said.
Sridhar Babu also commended the Telangana Agrawal Samaj for keeping Agrasen’s legacy alive and contributing meaningfully to the State’s progress.
Community leaders present at the event included President Anirudh Gupta, Vice-President Rupesh Agrawal, General Secretary Vikas Keshan, Joint Secretary Dr Seema Jain, and Treasurer Achal Gupta.
