Telangana IT and Industries Minister Duddilla Sridhar Babu inaugurated GrowthX 2025 in Hyderabad, emphasizing AI, emerging technologies, and Telangana’s trillion-dollar economy goal.
HYDERABAD: Telangana Industries and IT Minister Duddilla Sridhar Babu inaugurated the “Summit on Future-Ready Industry Transformation: Innovating for Growth, Efficiency, and Security (GrowthX 2025)” in Hyderabad on Saturday. Organized by the Federation of Telangana Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FTCCI) at HICC, the event focused on emerging technologies, industry innovation, and economic growth.
Addressing the summit, Minister Sridhar Babu reiterated the Telangana government’s commitment to achieving a trillion-dollar economy, describing it as a challenging yet achievable goal under Chief Minister Revanth Reddy’s leadership. He urged industrialists to invest in Telangana and contribute to this vision.
Telangana’s Rapid IT Growth & Emerging Technologies
The minister highlighted Telangana’s rapid growth in IT exports, which have surged by 17.98%, significantly exceeding the national average of 8%. He emphasized the transformative role of Artificial Intelligence (AI), Quantum Computing, and Machine Learning in shaping the future, urging industries to integrate these technologies to remain competitive.
He assured full government support for innovators and entrepreneurs, encouraging them to explore AI-driven solutions to tackle societal challenges. Additionally, he stressed the need for MSMEs and SMEs to modernize, warning that failure to adapt to evolving technology could threaten their sustainability.
Telangana’s Push Towards a Tech Hub
Telangana aims to position itself as a hub for emerging technologies, with initiatives such as the successful AI Summit and incentives for industrialists investing in AI and tech-driven industries. The government is actively leveraging AI to enhance public services and drive technological advancement.
The event was jointly organized by FTCCI, T-Hub, T-Works, TASK, WE-Hub, Google, Microsoft, and other key industry stakeholders. Among the distinguished participants were Special Chief Secretary Jayesh Ranjan, Deputy Development Commissioner (Ministry of Commerce & Industry) Bhavani Sri, and FTCCI President Dr. Suresh Kumar Singhal.
