Hyderabad: Telangana IT and Industries Minister Duddilla Sridhar Babu drew praise on Tuesday night after personally intervening to rescue a severely injured youth following a road accident near Cable Bridge.
The incident occurred as the Minister was returning from official engagements. Upon spotting the youth lying on the roadside, critically injured, he halted his convoy, got down, and offered comfort and reassurance to the victim.
He immediately alerted the police and arranged for the youth to be shifted to NIMS Hospital in an auto-rickshaw, deputing a constable to accompany him. He also gave the youth his personal assistant’s number for further assistance.
Later, Sridhar Babu personally phoned doctors at NIMS to ensure the victim received prompt and quality treatment, and followed up on the victim’s condition.
The victim’s family has publicly thanked the Minister for his timely help and humane response.
