HYDERABAD: IT and Industries Minister Sridhar Babu has urged officials to approach the upcoming Saraswati Pushkaralu at Kaleshwaram as a significant challenge and to ensure its smooth and successful execution. During his visit to the Jayashankar Bhupalpally district on Wednesday, the minister reviewed preparations along with District Collector Rahul Sharma and Superintendent of Police Kiran Khare.
Inspecting the arrangements at the Jnana Saraswati Ghat, the minister examined the condition of the steps leading to the river and held discussions with contractor Sriram Reddy and senior officials. Emphasising long-term planning, Sridhar Babu directed that work on constructing a Pushkar Ghat spanning approximately 850 metres – connecting the Jnana Saraswati Ghat with the general bathing area – should begin without delay. He noted that these efforts would also contribute towards the larger arrangements required for the Godavari Pushkaralu scheduled in 2027.
The minister also held detailed consultations with the Collector and SP regarding the development of a helipad, the establishment of a tent city for pilgrims, and the allocation of designated parking zones for VIP vehicles. He stressed the need for meticulous coordination among departments to ensure that devotees have a seamless and spiritually enriching experience during the Pushkaralu festivities.
