Hyderabad: IT and Industries Minister Duddilla Sridhar Babu on Saturday said that true progress in Telangana requires a combination of government initiatives and public participation rooted in service to humanity. Speaking at a college fee renewal programme in Bachupally, he stressed the value of voluntary action in driving inclusive development.
“Governments alone cannot meet every growing demand. When people step forward in the spirit of service, real change becomes possible,” Sridhar Babu said. He commended the Kamaraju Annapurnamma Charitable Trust for supporting the education of 300 underprivileged students and urged more such efforts.
Education as a transformative gift
Sridhar Babu said food donation is noble, but the gift of education creates lasting impact. “The question is not what society gives us, but what we offer back. Education has the power to transform lives, not just careers,” he told the gathering.
He added that public service does not always require money. “A kind word, a helping hand, or a smile can also inspire others and shape our children’s values,” the Minister said.
Students urged to set goals, show persistence
Addressing students, Sridhar Babu advised them to discover their strengths, set clear goals, and pursue them with patience and courage. “Success never comes without struggle. Stay focused and move forward, regardless of the hurdles,” he said.
