HYDERABAD: Three Class 10 students were arrested by Gachibowli police for blackmailing a girl from their class using a morphed video. The victim, unable to bear the harassment, informed her parents, who then lodged a complaint with the police.
According to police reports, the girl, studying in a private school in Gachibowli, had become friends with a boy from her class. Over time, the boy used a morphed video to blackmail her, leading her to meet him in private. During one such meeting, another classmate secretly recorded a video of their interaction and later shared it with a third student.
The three students then began blackmailing the girl using the video, subjecting her to continuous harassment. Unable to cope with the pressure, she confided in her parents, who immediately took the matter to the police.
The Gachibowli police launched an investigation and arrested the three minors involved. Further legal action is being pursued under relevant sections of the law.
