MLA Sudarshan Reddy appointed Advisor to Telangana Government with Cabinet rank

Hyderabad: Bodhan MLA P. Sudarshan Reddy has been appointed as Advisor to the Telangana Government for the implementation of all flagship welfare and developmental schemes. The appointment carries Cabinet Minister rank and status.

Chief Secretary K. Ramakrishna Rao issued the government order on Friday. As per the directive, Sudarshan Reddy will monitor and review the execution of flagship programmes by coordinating with district collectors, departmental secretaries, and other officials concerned.

Advisor to have Cabinet-equivalent privileges

The Advisor’s entitlements will match those of a Cabinet Minister, including pay, staff, official residence, and office space within the Secretariat. He will also attend all cabinet meetings as a special invitee.

A senior officer of Special Chief Secretary or equivalent rank will head the schemes implementation unit and provide secretarial assistance. This unit will periodically brief the Cabinet on the status and progress of welfare and development initiatives across the state.
