Hyderabad: Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) officials caught a government surveyor red-handed while accepting a bribe in Rajanna Sircilla district.
The accused, Nagaraju, was posted as a surveyor in Ellareddypet mandal. According to officials, he had demanded ₹1 lakh from a man named Mallesh in connection with a land-related matter.
The ACB laid a trap after Mallesh lodged a complaint. Nagaraju was apprehended while accepting ₹15,000 in Chandrampet village, part of the alleged bribe amount.
Officials confirmed that the tainted money was recovered and a case has been registered. Further investigation is underway.
