Hyderabad: A coconut-laden truck overturned on National Highway near Rayannaguda in Suryapet mandal on Monday morning, leading to a rush among locals to collect the spilled load.
The truck was en route from Nellore to Hyderabad when the driver lost control and the vehicle toppled. Coconuts scattered across the road, drawing villagers and passersby who quickly gathered them in bags and carried them away. Even motorists travelling on the route stopped to collect the fallen coconuts.
The truck driver estimated a loss of nearly ₹2 lakh due to the accident and the public rush. Police reached the spot soon after and used a crane to remove the vehicle, clearing traffic on the highway.
