HYDERABAD: A moving tanker caught fire in Hyderabad, but the driver and cleaner escaped unharmed in a miraculous turn of events.
The incident occurred on Saturday morning at the Hayathnagar stretch of the Outer Ring Road (ORR) when the tanker, travelling from Pharma City towards Ghatkesar, suddenly caught fire. The driver noticed flames emerging from the engine and, sensing the danger, both the driver and cleaner immediately jumped out of the vehicle.
The front portion of the tanker was completely gutted in the blaze. Upon receiving information, a fire engine from the Hayathnagar Fire Station rushed to the scene and successfully extinguished the flames.
Authorities suspect that a short circuit might have caused the fire. Investigations are ongoing to confirm the exact cause.
