Hyderabad: Hyderabad will host the T-CHIP Semicon Constitution Summit 2025 on September 27 and 28 to draft a global semiconductor constitution. The two-day summit aims to define a guiding framework for building a sustainable, collaborative semiconductor ecosystem.
Organised under the Technology Chip Innovation Program (T-CHIP), the event seeks to establish foundational principles and mandates across the semiconductor value chain. The summit builds on T-CHIP’s Four-Pillar Strategy—Talent, Design, Manufacturing, and Applications—to create a long-term roadmap for India and global partners.
Key participants include senior officials from the Government of India and Telangana, as well as representatives from the Electronics, Education, and Defence sectors, including DRDO. Academic leaders such as Prof. V. Balakista Reddy, Chairman of TSCHE, and vice chancellors from major universities will also attend.
Industry leaders include Dr. KG Vishwanathan from IESA, Chelle Venkata Rama Raju of Quantum Technologies, and international experts from NYCU, TSRI, ARM, and GUS Technology. GUS CEO CC Chang will lead the global delegation.
A major highlight will be IIT Hyderabad’s launch of its first indigenous AI chip, marking a significant milestone in domestic semiconductor design.
The summit agenda includes “Chip Talks,” MoU signings, awards, and networking sessions to promote collaboration between sectors. Organisers said the event is designed not as a conference, but as a movement to unify global efforts around semiconductor development.
“T-CHIP Semicon Constitution Summit is not just an event, but the beginning of a movement,” said T-CHIP Chairman Sundeep Kumar Makthala. “Telangana is the launchpad, but our mission is to serve India and the world.”
The summit comes amid a projected global shortfall of 1.5 million semiconductor professionals by 2030, including an estimated 85,000 in India. Organisers hope the draft constitution will help India, led by Telangana, emerge as a central player in the global chip ecosystem.
