Hyderabad: Authorities in Telangana’s Kumuram Bheem Asifabad district suspended a government school teacher for repeatedly arriving drunk and misbehaving with students in a tribal welfare school.
Tribal Welfare Dept takes action after complaints
The accused, identified as J. Vilas, was serving as a teacher at the government school in Sukuthupalli village under Jainoor mandal. According to officials, he had developed a pattern of reporting to school under the influence of alcohol and failing to teach properly.
Parents of students filed a complaint with the Tribal Welfare Department, alleging that the teacher not only skipped lessons but also used inappropriate language in class. A preliminary inquiry confirmed the allegations.
Following the investigation, department officials issued suspension orders and warned that further disciplinary action would follow. They emphasized that teachers must uphold exemplary conduct, especially in tribal educational institutions.
