Hyderabad: A 16-year-old boy was killed and another sustained injuries after their car hit a tree and overturned near Lingapur Thanda in the Shamirpet police limits on Wednesday.
According to police, the deceased, identified as Donda Tanush, and his friend B. Sai Deepak, both aged 16 and residents of Adrashpally village in Medchal’s Muthuchintalapalli mandal, had driven to Muthuchintalapalli to refuel their car with diesel.
The accident occurred while they were returning to Adrashpally. The vehicle reportedly lost control and crashed into a tree before overturning.
Both teenagers suffered severe injuries in the crash. Tanush was shifted to a private hospital in Keesara, where doctors declared him dead on arrival. Deepak is undergoing treatment at a private hospital in Alwal.
Shamirpet police have registered a case and are investigating the incident.
