Hyderabad: Responding to the attack on his Q News office, MLC Teenmar Mallanna accused MLC Kavitha and her family of orchestrating a murder attempt. Addressing the media outside his Peerzadiguda office, Mallanna said the attack would not deter him from continuing the BC movement.
He alleged that attackers snatched a gun from one of his security personnel and used it to assault staff inside the office. Mallanna claimed that he and several others sustained injuries in the incident. “If anyone thinks Mallanna will be scared by these attacks, they are mistaken,” he said.
He warned that the situation had reached a point where a final reckoning between the two sides was inevitable. Reaffirming his earlier statements, he said, “Let the people decide whether I said anything wrong.” He added that the slogan “kancham–mancham” defined Telangana spirit, and that he stood by his remarks.
Mallanna criticised the police for booking cases against him despite being the victim. “There’s my blood in my own office. I will carry these stains into the public,” he said. He called on the government to respond to the incident and confirmed that a formal complaint had been filed. Expressing faith in the police and the justice system, Mallanna said he expected due action.
