Hyderabad: Telangana MLC Teenmar Mallanna, also known as Chintapandu Naveen Kumar, is set to launch a new political party aimed at representing Backward Classes (BCs) in the state. He announced that the official launch will take place at 11 a.m. on Wednesday at Taj Krishna Hotel in Hyderabad.
Mallanna declared that the new party would carry the “self-respect flag” of BCs and emerge as a people’s political force rooted in Telangana soil. “BCs are launching their own party. From every village to every town, the BC flag must fly high,” he said.

He explained that the launch date, September 17, was chosen deliberately, as it marks the day Telangana was integrated into the Indian Union. “Some call it Liberation Day, others call it Betrayal Day. The fact is, Telangana merged with India on this date. That is why we are starting our journey now,” he stated.
Mallanna criticised all major parties in the state for repeatedly betraying the BC community. He said he would present detailed evidence of how each party has sidelined BCs. The new party’s name, policies, and organisational structure are expected to be unveiled during Wednesday’s launch.
