HYDERABAD: Teenmarr Mallanna criticized the Telangana government’s caste survey, alleging that it was not conducted transparently and contained several errors. He pointed out that even after 14 months, the families of martyrs had not received any assistance from the government.
Mallanna stated that the *Telangana Socio-Economic Survey* contradicts the government’s own caste survey. He referred to a recently released book that claims the state’s survey is flawed. Highlighting discrepancies, he noted that the state’s population was recorded as *4,21,901* and questioned whether the book’s data, the government’s comprehensive family survey, or the Chief Minister’s statement was accurate.
He expressed gratitude to the Congress Party for promising 42% reservations and alleged that the upper caste population was deliberately inflated to justify implementing 10% reservations for Economically Backward Classes (EBCs).
