Hyderabad: Telangana is ringing in its 12th Formation Day today, June 2, celebrating over a decade since it became India’s youngest state back in 2014. It’s a big milestone for the state, and the celebrations kicked off with a special ceremony at the Telangana Legislative Council.
Legislative Council Chairman Gutha Sukhender Reddy led the event, proudly hoisting the national flag on the Council premises. Several Members of the Legislative Council, among them Vijayashanthi, Addanki Dayakar, Amir Ali Khan, Anji Reddy, Dayanand, Takkellapalli Ravinder Rao, and Vani Devi, were present at the flag-hoisting ceremony, joined by Telangana Legislature Secretary Dr. Narasimhacharyulu.
The state government ensured the day was marked with both dignity and spirit. Elaborate arrangements set the stage for a host of events statewide, from public institutions and schools to local administrative bodies all paying homage to the decades of struggle that led to Telangana’s birth.
