Hyderabad: The Telangana government has allocated ₹20 crore for Bonalu-related festival celebrations and events in Hyderabad and Secunderabad, disbursing funds in the form of cheques to 2,783 temples across the twin cities.
According to official sources, the Bonalu festivities will begin with Golconda Bonalu on June 29. The main Bonalu events in the city are scheduled for July 1 and 2.
Bonalu festival celebrations in Balkampet will be held on July 13 and 14. The Lal Darwaza Bonalu in the Old City is set for July 20, followed by the procession at the Bhagyalakshmi temple near Charminar on July 23.
