Hyderabad: The Telangana Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) registered 179 cases between January and August 2025. It trapped 167 public servants and uncovered assets worth ₹44.30 crore.
According to ACB records, the cases included 108 trap cases, 11 disproportionate assets cases, 18 criminal misconduct cases, 18 regular enquiries, 21 surprise checks, and three discreet enquiries. Among those arrested were 14 outsourcing employees and several private persons. Officials said the bureau seized ₹33.12 lakh in trap cases and exposed disproportionate assets in multiple departments.
31 cases booked in August alone
In August, the ACB filed 31 cases. These included 15 trap cases, two disproportionate assets cases, three criminal misconduct cases, seven regular enquiries, and four surprise checks. The bureau arrested 22 public servants, including four outsourcing employees and private persons, and remanded them to custody. It also seized ₹2.82 lakh in trap cases and unearthed ₹5.14 crore worth of assets in DA cases.
Cases finalized and reports sent
Between January and August, the bureau finalized 177 cases and sent reports to the government for further action. In August alone, it completed 25 cases and forwarded the findings to the state government.
