Hyderabad: Telangana Anti-Corruption Bureau officials arrested Paka Sukanya, Assistant Labour Officer at the Bellampalli Labour Office in Mancherial district, and her privately engaged aide Mokinepalli Rajeshwari for accepting a bribe of ₹30,000.
The bribe was allegedly collected to process and forward a natural death claim and funeral expense file related to the complainant’s husband to higher authorities for sanction.
Investigators said Rajeshwari, who has no official designation in the office, handled the illicit transaction under Sukanya’s direction. The ACB laid a trap based on a formal complaint and caught both women red-handed during the bribe handover.
Both have been taken into custody. ACB officials said legal proceedings are underway.
