HYDERABAD: The Telangana government has approved general transfers within the Society for Elimination of Rural Poverty (SERP), following the directive of Rural Development Minister Seetka. A government order issued on Monday stated that all SERP employees would now be eligible for transfers.
This decision will benefit a total of 3,974 SERP employees, many of whom have been serving at the same location for the past ten years. Officials noted that the move was made in response to repeated requests from employees and concerns over stagnation affecting service delivery.
According to the official order, transfers will be granted based on merit and seniority, with the aim of improving institutional efficiency. Authorities stated that the implementation of this decision would begin across all zonal, district, and mandal-level SERP offices.
Minister Seetka stated that employee welfare remains a top priority for the government, and these transfers mark a significant step in that direction. She assured that the transfer process would be conducted transparently and fairly.
