Hyderabad: The Telangana Assembly on Sunday approved three legislations the Panchayat Raj Act Amendment Bill, the Municipal Act Amendment Bill, and the repeal of the Allopathic Private Medical Care Institutions Act.
Panchayat Raj Minister Seethakka introduced the amendment bill. She said it provides 42 percent reservation for Backward Classes and reaffirmed the Congress government’s commitment to protecting BC interests.
Panchayat Raj Bill with 42% BC quota provision passed
After debate, the House cleared the Panchayat Raj Amendment Bill. Health Minister Damodar Raja Narsimha then moved the Allopathic Medical Bill. The House approved it along with the Municipal Act Amendment Bill.
