Hyderabad: The Telangana government will hold a high-level meeting on Tuesday to brief legislators and senior officials on the Banakacharla project being executed by Andhra Pradesh.
Irrigation Minister N Uttam Kumar Reddy is scheduled to deliver a PowerPoint presentation at 3 PM at Praja Bhavan, outlining the state’s objections to the scheme. The session will be attended by Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy and Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka.
Ministers, Members of Parliament, legislators, MLCs, corporation chairpersons, and heads and members of various commissions have been called for the meeting.
In a statement issued on Sunday, Uttam Kumar Reddy said the presentation would highlight the adverse implications of the Banakacharla project for Telangana. He said the state government has made several attempts to stop the project and will use the session to lay out relevant facts before public representatives.
