Hyderabad: The Telangana Film Development Corporation announced the launch of the Bathukamma Young Filmmakers Challenge to promote young creative talent across the state. Chairman Dil Raju said the competition will accept entries until September 30, 2025.
The contest will feature short films and song competitions on themes related to Telangana’s development and welfare schemes under Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy’s government, as well as the state’s history, culture, festivals, and art forms. Short films must not exceed three minutes, while songs must remain under five minutes.
Telangana launches Bathukamma Young Filmmakers Challenge
The corporation set eligibility at under 40 years of age. Entries must be shot in 4K resolution, strictly on the given themes, and created exclusively for this challenge. Contestants must not submit works shown earlier on any platform.
The top prize will carry ₹3 lakh, followed by ₹2 lakh for second place and ₹1 lakh for third. The jury will also award five consolation prizes of ₹20,000 each. Winners will receive commendation certificates and mementoes.
