HYDERABAD: In a significant political development, the Telangana Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has decided to abstain from the all-party MPs meeting convened by the state government. The meeting, scheduled for 11:00 AM at Praja Bhavan, was organized under the leadership of Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka to discuss pending issues with the central government.
Union Minister Kishan Reddy communicated the party’s decision through a letter addressed to Deputy Chief Minister Vikramarka. In the letter, Reddy expressed that the invitation was received late, leaving insufficient time for internal discussions within the party. He also cited pre-existing party commitments as a reason for their inability to attend the meeting. Reddy requested that future meetings be scheduled with ample notice to facilitate proper participation.
Emphasizing the BJP’s dedication to Telangana’s development, Reddy highlighted that the Modi-led central government has invested ₹10 lakh crore in the state’s progress over the past decade. He assured that the party remains committed to working earnestly for the state’s future development.
The all-party MPs meeting was organized to deliberate on issues pending with the central government. Chief Minister Revanth Reddy was slated to attend as the chief guest. Deputy Chief Minister Vikramarka had personally invited central ministers Kishan Reddy and Bandi Sanjay to participate in the discussions.
