Hyderabad: Telangana BJP president N. Ramchander Rao, in his first non-political engagement since taking charge, addressed over 300 industrialists at the FTCCI’s special session on Wednesday, pledging to act as a bridge between Telangana’s industrial sector and the Union Government.
Speaking on the theme “Roadmap for Inclusive Industrial Growth in Telangana,” Rao emphasised the need for decentralised development and stronger policy support for MSMEs.
“Development is Hyderabad-centric. Tier-II and Tier-III cities must also grow,” he said, noting that the Railway Ministry is considering a Regional Railway Ring Road to complement the proposed Regional Ring Road (RRR) for industrial connectivity.
Rao reaffirmed the BJP’s industry-friendly stance: “Industries, big and small, are nation builders. They generate jobs, pay taxes, and create wealth.”
Highlighting the gap between Indian talent abroad and challenges at home, he credited NDA’s 11-year rule for progress in MSME development and the creation of a dedicated Ministry for Skill Development.
He called on youth to embrace entrepreneurship and urged fair competition among states to drive national growth. “There’s no bias by the Centre. Initiatives like UPI showcase our united strength,” he added.
FTCCI president R. Ravi Kumar welcomed the outreach, calling it historic and necessary. Industrial Development Committee chair Srinivas Gabriella flagged the regional development disparity and low women’s employment.
CSR Estates CMD Shekhar Reddy and Telangana Industrialists Federation president K. Sudhir Reddy raised GST, stamp duty issues, and the need for anchor industries to support MSME ecosystems.
