Hyderabad: The Telangana state cabinet will meet on June 5 to tackle a range of key issues, following a decision made at a meeting chaired by Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy at the Integrated Command and Control Centre on Sunday.
The upcoming session will address statehood celebrations, the rollout of the Indiramma housing scheme, preparations for revenue summits, readiness for the monsoon crop season, and progress on the Rajiv Yuva Vikasam programme.
Ministers briefed the Chief Minister on reports compiled after their district tours on May 29 and 30, where they held reviews with officials on these critical topics.
The cabinet also looked at district-level preparations for the state formation day celebrations and the final beneficiary lists for the Indiramma housing scheme. Revenue summits were another key point of discussion, with ministers highlighting the reports submitted by each district.
When it came to the Rajiv Yuva Vikasam scheme, ministers raised concerns over a sudden spike in applications—and the risk of ineligible applicants slipping through. They assured the Chief Minister that a strict screening process is in place, promising that only genuinely deserving candidates would get the benefits. “Not a single undeserving person should get benefits under Rajiv Yuva Vikas,” they insisted.
The Telangana cabinet is expected to finalise decisions on these issues to ensure fair implementation and transparency.
On the employee grievance front, officials had already submitted a detailed report to Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka, who then briefed the Chief Minister and cabinet members. The report’s findings will be part of the upcoming discussions to decide on next steps.
Ministers also took a moment to commend Minister Uttam Kumar Reddy for his proactive handling of the paddy procurement process, praising his efforts in keeping operations smooth.
