HYDERABAD: Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy expressed shock over the SLBC tunnel collapse in Nalgonda, where several workers were injured following a roof collapse. Upon receiving information, the Chief Minister alerted officials and directed them to take immediate action.
He instructed the District Collector, Superintendent of Police (SP), Fire Department, and officials from the Irrigation and Hydra units to reach the site and supervise the ongoing rescue operations.
Following the Chief Minister’s orders, Irrigation Minister Uttam Kumar Reddy, along with Irrigation Advisor Aditya Nath Das and senior irrigation officials, travelled to the site in a special helicopter to assess the situation firsthand.
Authorities are actively coordinating relief efforts. Irrigation Minister Uttam Kumar Reddy, Irrigation Advisor Aditya Nath Das, IG Sathyanarayana, and DG Fire Services G. V. Narayan Rao have arrived at the accident site and are overseeing the rescue operations.
