HYDERABAD: Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy is scheduled to meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi on February 26 at 10:30 AM in New Delhi. The meeting will focus on seeking central assistance for key developmental projects in the state. Minister Sridhar Babu, Chief Secretary Shanti Kumari, CMO Secretary Sheshadri, and Director General of Police (DGP) Jitender will accompany the Chief Minister.
One of the key topics for discussion will be the Musi River Front development in Hyderabad, a significant urban revitalisation project for which the state government seeks financial support. Additionally, the delegation will request funds for the Hyderabad Metro expansion, aiming to improve public transport infrastructure. Another important agenda item will be the proposal to increase the state’s Indian Police Service (IPS) cadre strength to enhance administrative efficiency.
Following the meeting with the Prime Minister, CM Revanth Reddy is expected to hold discussions with several Union Ministers regarding these proposals. The delegation is scheduled to leave for Delhi tonight in preparation for these high-level meetings.
Apart from engagements with central government officials, there is speculation that CM Revanth Reddy may also meet Congress High Command leaders. This meeting is expected to focus on state political developments and the potential expansion of the Telangana cabinet. These discussions highlight the state’s efforts to secure support for its ongoing developmental initiatives and address key administrative concerns.
