Telangana cold wave alert issued for next two days

Hyderabad: The Meteorological Department issued a Telangana cold wave alert on Tuesday, warning that several districts would face severe cold winds over the next two days. It stated that a yellow alert had been declared for Sangareddy, Medak, Kamareddy, Nirmal, and Adilabad districts. The department also said strong cold winds were likely in these areas, along with Asifabad, Kumram Bheem, and five other districts.

Officials said minimum temperatures could fall 4 to 5 degrees Celsius below normal. They reported that Sirpur-U in Kumram Bheem Asifabad district recorded 6.8°C, while Kohir in Sangareddy district registered 7.8°C. Rudrangi in Rajanna Sircilla district recorded a temperature of 8.0°C.

Telangana cold wave prompts health caution

Across the state, several locations recorded temperatures below 14°C. As a result, doctors advised the public to remain cautious due to the intensity of the cold winds. They stressed that vulnerable groups should take additional care to avoid health-related complications.
