Hyderabad: Telangana Congress on Friday commemorated the birth anniversary of Nawab Ali Nawaz Jung Bahadur by declaring it Telangana Engineers Day, citing his legacy as the architect of the state’s irrigation framework.
In a post on Twitter, the party hailed Nawab Jung as a visionary engineer and acknowledged his foundational role in shaping modern water infrastructure across the region. Calling him the pioneer of Telangana’s irrigation sector, party underscored his lasting impact on the state’s engineering landscape.
The party also used the occasion to extend greetings to engineers statewide, linking their contemporary efforts in infrastructure development to the technical foresight of Nawab Jung. His designs and planning continue to underpin many of Telangana’s major water and irrigation systems.
