Hyderabad: Telangana Legislative Council Chairman Gutha Sukhender Reddy announced on Tuesday that the Council will soon hold its sessions in the renovated old building within the Assembly premises.
He inspected the ongoing reconstruction and said the inauguration will follow shortly, based on Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy’s instructions.
Before the site visit, Reddy held a review meeting to assess progress. Legislature Secretary Dr. Narasimha Charyulu, officials from the Roads and Buildings Department, the Aga Khan Foundation, and other stakeholders attended the meeting.
Reddy urged officials to accelerate the remaining work. He asked them to complete the renovation quickly and hand over the building to the Council. The state government, he added, plans to conduct all future sessions in the restored heritage structure.
